1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, registering, or using the SkillBuddy mobile application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please do not use our platform.
2. About SkillBuddy
SkillBuddy is an online marketplace platform that connects clients (service seekers) with workers (service providers) in Pakistan. SkillBuddy acts as an intermediary platform only. We do not employ workers directly and are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by workers on our platform.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
- You must have legal authority to agree to these terms
- Only one account per person is permitted
4. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must not share your account credentials with anyone
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
5. Client Responsibilities
- Post accurate, honest, and complete job descriptions
- Pay the agreed job amount through the SkillBuddy platform only
- Enter the completion OTP only when the job is satisfactorily completed
- Treat workers with respect and professionalism
- Do not request services that are illegal or violate any Pakistani law
6. Worker Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about your skills, experience, and qualifications
- Complete CNIC verification before accepting paid jobs
- Bid only on jobs you are genuinely qualified and available to complete
- Arrive on time and complete work professionally and to the agreed standard
- Treat clients with respect and professionalism
- Do not request payments outside of the SkillBuddy platform
7. Payments & Escrow
- All payments must be made through SkillBuddy's approved payment system (JazzCash / EasyPaisa)
- Payments are held in escrow by SkillBuddy until job completion is confirmed via OTP
- A platform service fee of 10% is deducted from each completed transaction
- Off-platform payments are strictly prohibited and void all protections
- SkillBuddy is not responsible for failed gateway transactions caused by the payment provider
8. Refunds
- Refunds are processed if a worker fails to show up or cancels after payment is locked
- Refunds may be granted at admin discretion after a dispute review
- Once the completion OTP has been entered, the transaction is considered final
- Platform fees are non-refundable on completed transactions
- Refund processing time: 5–7 business days
9. Disputes
- Disputes must be filed within 48 hours of the scheduled job completion
- SkillBuddy admin will review evidence submitted by both parties
- Admin decisions are final and binding
- SkillBuddy reserves the right to refund, release, or split payment based on investigation findings
10. Prohibited Activities
Users must NOT:
- Create fake accounts, post fake reviews, or misrepresent identity
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Share personal contact information to bypass platform payments
- Post illegal, inappropriate, or fraudulent job requests
- Misrepresent skills, qualifications, or experience
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the platform
- Use the platform for money laundering or any illegal financial activity
11. Ratings & Reviews
Users may leave honest reviews after job completion. Reviews must be truthful and based on actual experience. Fake, malicious, or defamatory reviews will be removed and may result in account suspension.
12. Limitation of Liability
SkillBuddy is a marketplace platform and is not liable for:
- The quality or outcome of services provided by workers
- Any property damage, personal injury, or financial loss resulting from services
- Disputes between clients and workers
- Service delays, cancellations, or no-shows by workers
- Technical failures of third-party payment gateways
13. Intellectual Property
All content, logos, trademarks, and technology on the SkillBuddy platform are the intellectual property of SkillBuddy. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or harms the SkillBuddy community — without prior notice.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from the use of SkillBuddy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Pakistani courts.
16. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of SkillBuddy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
