2. Information We Collect
Personal Information:
- Full name and profile photo
- Phone number (used for authentication)
- City and general location
- CNIC number (for worker identity verification only)
- Skills and service categories (workers only)
Usage Information:
- Job postings, bids, and transaction history
- Chat messages between users
- App usage activity and session data
- Device information and push notification tokens
Location Information:
- GPS location — only when a worker is actively en route to a job
- City or area for job matching purposes
Payment Information:
- JazzCash or EasyPaisa mobile number
- Transaction amounts and payment history
- We do NOT store full payment credentials or card details
3. How We Use Your Information
- Create and manage your SkillBuddy account
- Match clients with relevant nearby service workers
- Process payments and manage escrow transactions
- Send job notifications, updates, and OTP codes
- Verify worker identities through CNIC verification
- Provide customer support and resolve disputes
- Prevent fraud and ensure platform safety
- Improve our app and services
4. Information Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only with:
- Other users — as needed to complete a service (e.g. a worker sees the client's job location)
- Payment gateways — JazzCash and EasyPaisa for processing transactions
- Firebase (Google) — for secure data storage, authentication, and push notifications
- Law enforcement — when legally required by Pakistani law
5. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers
- Payments are processed through JazzCash and EasyPaisa secure gateways
- OTP codes for job completion are hashed and never stored in plain text
- All data transmission uses industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption
- Access to sensitive data is restricted to authorized personnel only
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data at any time through the app
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of marketing push notifications

7. CNIC Data
CNIC information collected from workers is used solely for identity verification purposes. It is stored securely and never shared with clients or third parties, except as required by Pakistani law.
8. Location Data
Worker GPS location is only shared with the relevant client during an active job delivery. Location tracking stops automatically once the job is marked as complete. We never track or share location data outside of active jobs.
9. Children's Privacy
SkillBuddy is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete it immediately.
10. Cookies & Analytics
Our website may use basic cookies for session management. We may use anonymized analytics to understand how users interact with our platform. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics data.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of SkillBuddy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
